Under 10s

Continue your Hockey journey with Under 10’s

Our Under 10's program is a competition and training based program designed for 8-10 years old, who are ready to join up with a team and play hockey! They can learn the basics of hockey while having fun and getting involved in the club-based system in their region.

Please note the session timings below:

U10 Hockey – 10:00 AM Start
• Game 1: 10:00 AM – 10:15 AM (15 minutes)
• Break: 10:15 AM – 10:17 AM (2 minutes)
• Game 2: 10:17 AM – 10:32 AM (15 minutes)

Total session time: 32 minutes

Structure

• 2 x 15 minutes halves
• 2 minute half time
• Approx. 8 aside
• Half field
• Umpires to enforce modified rules – (when available)
• There are no scores kept or finals. The structure allows the children to prepare for the next level of competition (U12’s hockey). Focus will be on skills, positions, umpires signals and modified rules, which will make the transition to the next level easier.

• Albury/Wodonga at the Albury Hockey Centre – from 10am–10:45am starting on Saturday 3rd May and running through Terms 2 & 3
• Corowa – Thursdays 4.30-5.30pm
• Wangaratta – Thursdays 4.30-5.30pm

The cost to register for Under 7s & Under 10s is $70.05.

It is COMPULSORY for all juniors to wear a mouthguard when training and playing games. You can purchase mouthguards from the canteen on a Saturday morning during the season or from your local pharmacy or sports store. HockeyWorld has a store onsite that can help you with mouthguards and all of your other Hockey equipment needs.
