Performances

From humble beginnings in 1953, 70 years ago, Hockey Albury Wodonga has grown to include 9 clubs playing weekly in U10’s through to Masters. HAW has built a successful environment that sees our elite athletes competing at state, national & international levels.  HAW has built a reputation for sportsmanship & its players take to the grounds every weekend throughout the winter season. HAW, in addition to its domestic competition has a development program that guarantees the next generation of players receive professional tuition in the skills of the game starting with Hook in2 Hockey for the little ones, an U10’s development competition & U12’s competition.  This provides a pathway for these children. We also deliver our sport into schools to increase participation at a local level & the overall activity levels of children within our community. To further ensure the HAW ties to the local community are upheld, the association donates in excess of $10,000 to local charities annually. Also our member clubs raise & donate funds for various charities as well as donating extensively to its local representative players.

HAW is a strong country association and regularly does well in junior competitions and has has won many senior and veterans titles in mens and womens hockey.

Albury-Wodonga Spitfires compete in the Hockey ACT Capital League One competition with the Men’s and Women's teams. The Albury-Wodonga Spitfires proudly sponsored by Xypex

The Future
HAW has plans to continue to upgrade it’s facilities at the Albury & Wodonga Hockey Centres.
