Primary Schools Gala Day - 2025

The Hockey Albury Wodonga Primary School Gala Day is a great opportunity for students to develop their skills and enjoy a fun day of hockey with other school teams. 

We welcome students of all abilities and skill levels. Schools can enter mixed teams in two Divisions. 

Division 1 - Years 5/6 mixed

Division 2 - Years 3/4 mixed

Details

Day: Friday 19th September 2025

Time: 9:30am – 2:40pm

* Travelling schools will have games to suit their travel, which may require playing two consecutive games *

Location: Albury Hockey Centre

Cost: $4 per student - Invoiced to the school once numbers are finalised by the school for the event. 

Equipment: Sticks and shin guards will be provided for those who don't have their own. If you have a school kit, please bring it along. 

Registration: Please register each team as a separate registration

Canteen: The canteen will be open for lunch, snacks and drinks. Lunch orders will be available, the order form link will be sent out following the schools registration.

20 minute games - no half time

Full field games

Modified rules - sent to schools after registration

Teams

Standard - 11 aside

Mixed gendered

2 divisions: Years 5/6 & Years 3/4

Goal keepers optional - Must bring own kit if using a goalie

No ladders kept or finals played

Hockey equipment - provided by HockeyAW if required

Training bibs

* All participants must wear a mouthguard and shinguards at all times whilst playing. I have some mouthguards available if someone forgets theirs.
