Get started with Stick2Hockey

Sponsored by the Commercial Club Albury

Our Stick2Hockey program is a competition and training based program designed for 8-10 years old, who are ready to join up with a team and play hockey! They can learn the basics of hockey while having fun and getting involved in the club-based system in their region.

Structure

  • 15 minutes skills session
  • 2 x 10 minutes game time
  • 5 minute half time
  • Approx. 8 aside
  • Half field
  • Umpires to enforce modified rules – (rules to come)
  • There are no scores kept or finals. The structure allows the children to prepare for the next level of competition (U12’s hockey). Focus will be on skills, positions, umpires signals and modified rules, which will make the transition to the next level easier.
